Quarry surveying and 3d modelling examples

 We offer

  • Quarries, dumps, excavations and piles 3D modelling
    with 5 cm horizontal and vertical accuracyt. The model includes a digital terrain model and an orthophoto of high resolution
  • Piles, excavations, tailings volume calculation
    technology allows volume calculation just in few hours after the flight. Obtained data could be then published on the WEB service
  • Piles volume difference calculation
    during periodic monitoring. Calculation of any pile, excavation and tailing volume difference in "before/after" mode for the specified time period
  • Online data publishing 
    Monitoring data publishing on the web service. Creating the 3D model of the quarry on a cartographic basis, with the output of indicators of volume changes for the selected period of time
  • Determination of the actual site boundaries

If there is only one survey available, the volumes are calculated using the reference curface.

3. Data could be published in a WEB-service as a layers representing each date of survey. You can shate it using a private link and view from any workstation.

We survey using industrial class drones

All surveys are performed with industrial UAV in automatic mode under operator supervision. High quality of the obtained model is achieved by using a professional camera (Sony RX-1) and precise synchronization of the shutter and GNSS receiver. In «Aerostream» we use our own in house designed UAVs as well as the technologies of the leading russian developer - «Geoscan».

 

 

The technology is based on the creation of a high-res 3D model of the quarry surface using UAV survey data and accurate GNSS measurements. Digital surface model built using unmanned aerial technologies is geometrically more accurate than one obtained using traditional on-the-ground methods.

Cost saving is achieved due to the high speed of data acquisition with the accuracy close to LiDar scanning. The costs of both field and desk work a reduced and the human factor is eliminated from calculations.

The data could be processed directly on the spot, or through a remote web service.
